St. Patrick's DaySt. Patrick's Day is celebrated on 17th March. It is a national day of Ireland. On that day people wear green clothes and organise parades. The Chicago river is dyed green on Saint Patrick's Day each year.
Some people look for a pot of gold which can be found on the other side of the rainbow and which was hidden there by the leprechaun. |
Our celebrationWe prepared a lot of activities and games.
Whoever was wearing green on this day was released from being questioned by teachers of all subjects. The students could have their faces painted with shamrock patterns. We were looking for four leaf clover. There were lectures about Irish music prepared by our student Ola Stalmach. New words were displayed on language lab door. The students tried to eat, without using hands, an apple which was floating in the ball full of water. |
